Monday February 24th we responded to a reported room fire fire at the Knights Inn. We arrived to find room 268 fully involved and the fire had already vented threw the front window. We were able to extinguish the fire with just over 1000 gallons of water within 10 minutes of arrival.
Westwood Fire Department responded and assisted with checking the other units for any extension.
Above you can see that at the front portion of the room the floor burned completely away.
Engine 2 during a recent snow and ice storm. That morning our units had responded to a head-on collision on Rose RD.

Engine 6 is now looking new again with an MX7000 halogen lightbar. The former bar light was old and had many problems that were to involved to repair.
This is the fill station for our new Compair Breathing air compressor. This new system features a 4 bottle 6000 psi cascade system. It allows us to fill our bottles in 1/4 of the time it took with our old unit.

JUNE 24, 2002 16:50 ENGINE 2, Responded to a gas leak on Jeri Ct. we arrived to find a strong smell of gas. Our units waited for the gas company to arrive. BELOW you can see the spot where the gas was leaking threw the ground.
JULY 4, 2002 9:30 Engineer Ricky Porter, Captain Chris Porter, and Firefighter/EMT Will McKenzie along with Engine 1 attended the 2002 Ashland Independence Day Parade.
The parade ran the same course as the Christmas does.

JUNE 6, 2002 ENGINE 2, RESCUE 4 RESPONDED TO A POSSIBLE ROLLOVER ACCIDENT ON RT. 5. THEY ARRIVED TO FIND A LARGE TRUCK ON IT'S SIDE IN THE 7000 BLOCK. CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF THE ACCIDENT
ENGINE 1 AT THE 2001 CATLETTSBURG LABOR DAY PARADE. IT WON CUSTOM PUMPER OF THE YEAR FOR THE THIRD TIME.
OUR FLAG IS AT HALF STAFF SEPT. 11 TO SEPT. 30 FOR ALL THAT WERE LOST IN NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON. WE ARE ALSO DISPLAYING PURPLE RIBBONS ON OUR TRUCKS AND CARS TO REMEMBER THEM.
4-14-01 TRUCK 9 AT A BRUSH FIRE ON IKE PATTON DR. IT STARTED FROM A SMALL PILE OF GARBAGE BURNING. TRUCK 9, ENGINE 2, AND TANKER 3 RESPONDED. WITH 18 FIREFIGHTERS.
CAPTAIN STEWART TRIMBLE FILLS THE COUPLING ON A HOSE TO DETERMINE WHICH DIRECTION WOULD TAKE HIM OUT OF A FIRE. THIS EVOLUTION WAS DONE DURING A FIREFIGHTER SURVIVAL COURSE 4-14-01.

THE STATION MONDAY NIGHT 3-5-01. SNOW IS BEGINNING TO FALL GOOD WE EVENTUALLY GOT 2 INCHES OF SNOW OVER NIGHT.
